Bill Walker’s Future (part 2)

I got an interesting e-mail from the Republican Governor’s Association this morning.  They say that, according to a poll they have done,  Parnell wins by 14% whether Walker runs or doesn’t run as a third-party candidate.  Here are the numbers:

Bill Walker’s Future

Bill Walker ended the Republican Primary’s gubernatorial race in second place with 33% of the vote to Governor Parnell’s 50%.   Although he covered the bases on the traditional issues, Walker really ran his campaign based on one issue:  he wants to see some respect for the All-Alaska Gas Line from the North Slope to Valdez where the gas would be converted to Liquefied Natural Gas and exported to Hawaii, Japan, and Whereever. Parnell doesn’t seem to give him the confidence he needs.

Finding Candidates

I just discovered the Division of Elections has changed its website all around.  It took a half hour to find the list of candidates for this year’s General and Primary Elections.   

Looking for Another D

I just talked to state Democrats who told me the candidate they expected to run for their nomination to face Lisa Murkowski this fall has decided not to get into the race for health reasons.  Legitimate ones, too.

I mentioned a couple of days ago that the Democrats had heard from another potential candidate in their primary race to go against Republican Lisa Murkowski in November.   That expectation got circulated among Republicans, and some of them have been creating candidates.
